The history of the Mabuta suit dates back to Soviet times. It's a suit for hot climates that was popular among special forces, reconnaissance and paratroopers. In 2013, the P1G-TAC brand created a modern version called MABUTA Mk-2. The updated version retained all the best qualities of its predecessor and was supplemented with modern material and improved design solutions based on the trends of the 21st century field uniform.

MABUTA Mk-2 pants are designed with eight pockets: two front slash pockets, two front hip pockets with flaps, two front hip pockets with hook-and-loop flaps, and two hip pockets on the back with flaps. Both pairs of pockets on the hip are closed with English buttons, which are easy to open when wearing gloves. Also thanks to this method of fastening the buttons increases the durability and decreases the chances of tearing them off. Rear hip pockets are equipped with an elastic band with a stopper in order to adjust the size of the entrance hole in the pocket and use them instead of magazine drop. The pockets have special creases so that the empty pocket fits snugly on the surface of the pants and evenly decomposes to accommodate everything you need.

The waist area is wide and rigid with an internal cushioning insert. Therefore, a tight fit of the pants and good sweat absorption is ensured. The rear part of the waist zone has an elastic nylon insert, which allows you to maintain freedom of movement even when the waistband is rigidly fixed. Also this area is supplemented with wide waist slits, which allows the use of a wide waistband. They are equipped with four YKK D-rings for attaching additional gear.

For freedom of movement in the knee area, it has an elastic nylon insert. To protect the knee joints in this model, there are integrated kneepads that can be removed if necessary. They are made of a combination of plastic uppers and soft cushioning. The fit of the kneepads can be adjusted: in height from the front pockets on the thigh, and in bounce using the elastic bands on the back of the kneepad.

Bottom of the leg on the inner side is reinforced with duplicating pads. This area is also equipped with hook-and-loop cuffs to prevent dirt and sand from getting inside the shoes.
