Reversible Insulating Jacket is a insulating jacket by the 5.11 Tactical® brand. It is designed to retain heat better and maintain a comfortable body temperature on the coldest days. This model is suitable for everyday use in the city and beyond. The jacket has two functional sides of different colors, allowing for quick adaptation to the situation. It can be used as a standalone jacket or as an insulating layer under a waterproof shell.

Advantages of the material

 

The Reversible Insulating Jacket retains heat well thanks to the high-quality PrimaLoft® insulation. The material structure consists of the thinnest hollow fibers, similar in structure to down.

Main features of PrimaLoft®:

• lightweight
• high thermal insulation index
• good breathability and hydrophobicity (resistance to wetting)

The main side (outer) of the jacket has a solid color, while the additional (inner) side is black. The outer material is made of polyester, and the inner material is made of Mini Ripstop nylon. The inner Mini Ripstop material is more durable due to the combined weave with reinforced thread.

Construction features

 

There are four pockets for warming hands and carrying EDC items. Essentially, these are two lower hand pockets that are on both sides of the garment. Thus, there are two external and two internal zippered pockets on each side of the jacket. The central zipper has a reversible slider that works from both sides. For added comfort, the zipper has an integrated chin guard in the collar area on each side. Elastic cuffs and adjustable hem provide a comfortable fit of the jacket. The adjustment of the hem is done from the middle of the pockets. For transporting the jacket, there is a feature to pack the jacket into its own pocket. This way, it doesn't take up much space in a backpack.
